I am Joseph Perry DeSilva's oldest son, Gus, from Millwood, NY. As my father and mother, Maria Harismides, divorced when I was about 2, I didn't know him very well. I did meet my brothers and sisters from his second marriage to Edie DeSilva, but lost touch with them shortly after my father's death in June 2000. He and Edie had four sons and two daughters. I have an article about the 9 sons mentioned by Mary Ann DeSilva, explaining their WWII exploits. Five of my siblings were named Dave, Joseph, Steve, Lisa, Maria - I do not remember the 6th brother's name. My grandfather was August. I was born in 1947.
