I am trying to resolve the parentage of Harriet M Frear born 20 June 1832 in Arcadia, Wayne Co. NY.

Is there any churches in Arcadia that may have records of baptisms?

I am also looking for old newspapers in Newark, Wayne Co. and area for an obit of John Lawrence Frear who died 30 Nov. 1885. I have looked on fultonhistory.com and have had no luck. I understand he had a gristmill in Newark so he must have been a prominant man. I believe he is Harriet's father but I would like some concrete documentation.

Any directions...Any assistance...any information will be most appreciated.
