All I know about her is she was born to Samuel & Matilda (Hopkins) Pickett in about 1896. In abt 1900 Sam goes to Clinton Prison for God only knows what and there isn't any information on Matilda. Never found early marriage records for him either.
Back to Myrtle, she was raised by her 1/2 sister Edith,(mother Elizabeth Hopkins Pickett) who later became Edith Seville, but I can't find any records for her either. New York records are ridiculous to get a hold of. I have old letters she sent to her other sister Matilda dated 1950 but they bare the name Myrtle Stockwell. Didn't find anything under that name either.
There is a record for a Myrtle Peckett (I believe transcribed incorrectly)in the Guardian Angel home and Industrial school, age 14, but I'm not sure if that is her.
If anyone knows about her it would be appreciated.
