Over the past several weeks, have found several individuals that have been working on this particular family group, with several trees posted to ancestry and rootsweb; with various key piece of information MISSING.
While is family group is not quite blood related, I have had occassion to interact with individuals within this tree and have endevored to expand my knowledge on the missing links of the posted trees and have, herein, posted the results of that exploration, as I come across that which reveals itself. I have also posted to the Sanderspree message board, which only has 4-5 posts to it and was started by individuals looking for this group.
Anyone who wishes to contact me about said information is more than welcome to; addy is current; and PLEASE contact me through that addy--NOT ancestry.com notification.
Charles William Sanderspree, 57, died at 8:30 Saturday, morning (February 9, 1929) at Poughkeepsie where he has been for the past five months. He was born February 3. 1872, at Griswolds Mills. Following an education in the village schools he learned the carpenter's trade and later engaged in the contracting business; and at the time of his death was a member of the firm of Sanderspree and Son, doing business in this village and Albany. He was married July 19, 1899, in this village to Grace M. Dailey of Sandy Hill. He is survived by his widow, three sons. William and Charles of Fort Edward, and Herbert of Schenectady; two daughters, Mrs. Edward Smith and Miss Marlon Sanderspree, both of this village; five sisters, Mrs. Edith Vosburg of Longmount, Col.; Mrs. Luke Doty, Hudson Falls; Mrs. Albert Lndsay, Whitehall: Mrs. Harold Stahl and Mrs. Harold Marstellar of Youngstown. Ohio; two brothers, Edward Sanderspree of Glens Falls and George Sanderspree, Norwalk. Conn., and his mother, Mrs. A Surprenant of Glens Falls. Several nieces and nephews and two grandchildren also survive.
Aparently, after Charles' decease, Grace married again, as found in this newsprint article
1932--April 19--Mrs Grace (Dailey)Sanderspree and John Burns were married at St Joseph's at 9 am yesterday. They will reside at 27 Baldwin Ave upon their return from wedding trip.
Grace and John Burns are inter in St Joseph's cemetery. John's dates are 1871--1946; and Grace Dailey Sanderspree Burns dates are 1880--1954
This one kind of took me by surprise; however it was nice to have discovered it.
After a check of land deeds, it confirmed that, indeed, Grace Dailey Sanderspree did, in fact marry John Burns; and when John Burns died, Grace got the property at 27 Baldwin Ave, Fort Edward; and upon Grace's decease, her heirs-at-law sold that property--dated October 1, 1955.
Those Heirs being: William A Sanderspree of 230 Broadway; Marion Shaw of 9 Marion St; Herbert A Sanderspree of 31 Beverly St; Ethel Smith, 117 Broadway--all of Fort Edward; and Charles Sanderspree, of the village of Lake George.
