I have just been notified that Minerva Nichols, dtr/of Elisha married Ezra Thorp. A will was recorded for Elisha Nichols (Liber W pg.440-441). He died in Shelby, Macomb Co. MI.
He basically left everything to his wife Mary also $100 to his daughter Manerva Thorp, the rest was to his son John who was to care for his mother. He named as executors: Ezra Thorp and John Nichols. The other children were not named. It was written 6 Jul 1847 and probated 13 Sep 1847.
Checking the 1850 census it was found Ezra Thorp in Shelby Twp age 40 NY, wife Manerva age 36 NY & chidlren: Julia 16, Jessie 14f & Earl 8 all born Michigan.
