Paul EWERS and Alice SOUTHMAID (daughter of Daniel SOUTHMAID/SOUTHMAYD)lived in Etna, Tompkins County in the 1800's. They had daughter Julia b. 1824, m. 1847 Darwin WEAVER and had two daughters named Mary and Alice. Did they marry and have children? Paul and Alice EWERS also had son Alvah b. 1827 m. 1852 Adeline STEWART, daughter of Oliver STEWART and Phebe DUSENBERRY. They had children Nellie and Paul who lived in Etna,never married, and died in 1945 and 1946 respectively. I have a copy of a land record that names Alvah, Nellie and Paul EWERS, with Amy J. MCARTHUR, Theodora C. NELSON, and Matie BROWN, of Dryden, Tompkins Co. and Sarepta E. MILLER of Ashland, Oregon, and Velma M. Black of Newark, NJ as sellers of a parcel of land that belonged to Oliver STEWART, deceased. Assume that the sellers are the heirs and possibly all cousins. Would like to make contact with anyone who knows something of this family. I am particularly hoping to find someone who may have pictures of members of the EWERS family.
