MOTHER OF MRS. DR. CHASE
Mrs. Caroline Woodward, mother of Mrs. Sherman F. Chase, died at the home of her daughter in Caro Thursday afternoon, September 19, at the advanced age of 96y and 10 days.
Mrs. Woodward was born and lived in the vicinity of Trumansburg, N.Y., all of her life until eight years ago when her care devolved upon Mrs. Chase, and since then she has been an honored member of the family, remarkable for strength of mind and body until the last two years when a gradual breaking down of her system began, and she became the subject of constant care.
Besides Mrs. Chase she leaves one son, Pratt Crissey of Goldfields, Nev., and another daughter, Mrs. Marrietta Harris of Pacific Beach, Cal.
Simple service will be held at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Chase, this Friday afternoon at 2 and they will both accompany the body to Trumansburg for burial, leaving Caro at 5:50 p.m.
