I'm not 100% sure that my William Thomas Cooper is actually from Tompkins county. I know from the census that he was born in New York and since there were so many Coopers in Tompkins I thought I'd try a post here.

In 1850 he was in Mt. Morris, ILL. He married Barbara T Wallace there.

I'm seeking his parents because my Cooper line seems to stop right here! Thanks.
