Researching Hiram YOUNG born 17 Oct 1799, Saratoga Co., NY
Parents: Henry and Mary (MOW) YOUNG. to Cayuga Co bf 1810.
Hiram married first (when/where?) Anna Pettit.
They had 9 children:1)Willam, 2)Hiram, 3)Anna died unmd, 4)Charlotte md Geo.RHODES on 17 Nov 1845 had 7 children.,
5)Philo,6)Lorenzo, 7)Florence, 8)Elizabeth, 9)Catherine
md Benj. SLOCUM on 28 March 1864 had Guy, Caroline and Catherine SLOCUM- resided Ithaca. Anna (Pettit) YOUNG died 16 March 1844. buried Chipman Cemetery- Cayuga County.
Hiram married second on 6 March 1845 to Ruth Chipman.
and had 10) Emma married Mr. Hutchinson and removed to Ceresco, Mich. 11) Mary Some of these daughters married
Atwater, Highland and Shaw. Who md Whom?
Hiram served in War of 1812 - when 14 years old as Drummer Boy.He and his mother Mary were among founding members of ME
Church in Genoa, Cayuga County.Hiram resided at various times in Cayuga County and in Lansing, Tomkins County.
He died on 5 June 1884 and buried in Kings Ferry Cemetery.
Have a great deal of information on this family and the siblings of Hiram.
