I, Mary Luce now of the town of Ithaca, in the County of Tompkins and State of New York being of sound disposing mind memory and understanding do hereby make and declare this to be my last Will and Testament as follows to wit:

First. I will & direct that all my full and legal debts and funeral charges be paid by my Executors herein after named.

Item - I give and bequeath to my children James Luce, Katherine Coats wife of William Coats, Israel Luce and Mary Ann Tabor, wife of Benjamin Tabor, the avails of all the real estate by which I shall be seized at the time of my decease, to be paid by my said Executors hereinafter named as soon after my decease as my said Executors can conveniently sell & dispose of the same and convert it into money, which I hereby authorize & direct them to do and the avails to pay to my said children herein before named, Equally to be divided between them share and share alike.

Item - In addition to the full portion which my daughter Eleanor Coats, the wife of Israel Coats has already received I give & devise unto my said daughter Eleanor Coats, the sum of One dollar to be paid by my said Executors, on demand at & after my decease.

Item - I give & devise unto my said children James Luce, Katherine Coats, Israel Luce and Mary Ann Tabor each the sum of Twenty Five dollars to be paid by my Executors out of the money and avails of my personal estate at & after my decease as soon as conveniently may be.

Item - I give & devise all the real, residue & remainder of my money, personal estate & effects not herein otherwise disposed of (after the payment of my debts, legacies, and funeral charges) to the Missionary Society of the Methodist Episcopal Church in trust for the use and benefit of said Society to be by them laid out and expended in further aid of the Oregon Mission. And I hereby order and direct that as soon after my decease as conveniently may be my said Executors, sell, dispose of & convert my said personal estate and effects into money and pay the same or the avails thereof after paying my said debts, legacies & funeral charges into the Treasury of said Society as aforesaid -

And lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my son James Luce, and my friend Samuel Crittendon Jun. of Ithaca Executors of this my last Will and Testament and hereby revoke all and every former will by me made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Ithaca this thirteenth day of September in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred & thirty eight.
