Arvilla EmmonsIN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN:
I, Arvilla
Emmons, aged 71 years, of the town of Ithaca in the County of
Tompkins and State of
New York, being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last Will and
Testament, in the manner following, that is to say:
First.--I direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid.
Second. I give and bequeath to my niece Ellen M. Brown wife of William G. Brown of Armada,
California, my twelve silver plated knives and forks, six silver teaspoons marked A. M. and three silver tablespoons marked
Arvilla, and $1,000.
Third. I give and bequeath to my sister-in-law Alvina B. wife of my brother
Newton my gold watch and chain and my walnut marble top bureau.
Fourth. All the rest and remainder of my property both real and personal, I give, devise and bequeath to my brothers
Newton R. McCutchan and William
McCutchan, share and share alike.
Lastly, I hereby appoint my brother
Newton R. McCutchan executor of this, my last Will and Testament: hereby revoking all former wills by me made.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my name the 30th day of August in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred ninety-eight.

Arvilla Emmons, the testator, subscribed her name to this instrument in our presence and in the presence of each of us, and at the same time, in our presence and hearing, declared the same to be her last Will and
Testament, and requested us, and each of us, to sign our names thereto as witnesses to the execution thereof, which we hereby do in the presence of the testator and of each other, on the day of the date of the said Will, and write opposite our names our respective place of residence.
