Can you tell me more about the SLATER family? My husband is the 4g grandson of Hannah SLATER, 1774-1835, who married Ezra Gleason AYRES. Ezra and Hannah are found in the 1800 census of Guilford, Windham, Vermont. We do not know where Ezra and Hannah died, but their son John AYRES was an early arrival to Williams Co., Ohio, which is on the border of Michigan and not far from Jackson MI. It may be a long shot, but could our SLATER ancestors be related?
