Ira J. Emmons to Samuel Devore
This indenture made this twentieth day of September one thousand eight hundred and forty-seven, between Ira J. Emmons and Dorothy his wife of the town of Lansing County of Tompkins and State of New York, of the first part and Samuel Devore of the same place of the second part, Witnessed that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of sixty dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby confesses and acknowledges doth grant bargain sells, remise and release unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and assigns forever All the equal individual half of the following described pieces or parcels of land situated, lying and being on lot No. 75 in said town and being part of the state hundred acres on said lot and formerly owned and occupied by John Pierson and bounded as follows viz. Beginning at the south west corner a house and lot of two acres of land formerly owned and occupied by Abijab Miller, now owned by Alvab J. Spiery and running then on westerly along the highway, to the west corner of said lot.then on north along the lands of Alvab J. Spiery, then on easterly along the land of said Alvab J. Spiery, then on southerly to the center of the highway and ________ of beginning, containing about one and one quarter acres of land. ___ the same more or less. Together with all and singular the hereditament and appurtenance thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the revision and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest claim or demand.whatsoever of the said parties of the first parts. Either in law or equity of in and to the above have gained premises with the said hereditaments and appurtenance. To have and to hold the said premises above described to the said party of the second part his heirs and assigns to the sole and only proper use benefit and behalf of the said part of the second part, his heirs and assigns forever, In witness whereof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written, sealed and delivered in the presence of Samuel Benjamin

Tompkins County On this 20 say of September 1847 before me personally came Ira J Emmons and Dorothy his wife to me known to be the individual described in and who executed the written conveyance who acknowledges that they execute the same and the said Dorothy acknowleges on a private examination by me.
