Tioga Co in 1822.Newark Valley was called Brown's Settlement early.The first day of April 1791 Isaac &
Abraham Brown brothers came from
Stockbridge MA.Abraham b 28 June 1768 died here Sept 1828 ,unmarried ,living with his mother. Isaac had Isaac II 10 children. Beulah Brown came with her son's John,Joseph & Lemuel. cousin of
Abraham. A Samuel Brown was a Commissioner of
Highway c 1805,from Gay's Hist Gazetteer of
