Surnames: LEAHY, TIERNEY
I'm just starting some Internet research on my mother's father's line.

My grandfather was James J. LEAHY, 1864-1936, Owego, Tioga Co., NY. His father was Patrick LEAHY, b.1833, Roscrea, Tipperary, Ireland, d.1896 Owego, NY. His mother was Ann(e) TIERNEY, b 1834, Tipperary, d.1875, Owego. They are buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Patrick came to USA as youth in 1846 and lived with an Uncle in Chicago for several years before moving to Owego, NY. Patrick, followed by son James, had owned general store in Owego.

Patrick's father was Michael LEAHY, b. 1804, Tipperary, m. Johanah, and Ann(e)'s father was Michael TIERNEY, m. Margaret, b 1809 - d. 1881, Tipperary.

Anyone here have connections to this line? I'm love to find any relatives reseaching them and to find out more about the ancestors of these Leahys and Tierneys in Ireland.
