I would like to obtain any information on the Lumberland area and on Thomas Loveliss or Loveless found there in 1840 and maybe before. I would like to prove or disprove the connection to John Loveless born 1804 NY also found in Lumberland, There was also a David Loveless in Sullivan Co for a short time.

John Lovelace/Loveless married Sarah Drake, daughter of Zephaniah Drake

I know a little about this family. I believe your Thomas was born to William D. Lovelace and Betsy Burns Lovelace of Dutchess County. A few of the Lovelace family moved to Sullivan County. Was Thomas born about 1770-75? Sounds like Thomas did, and his brother David A. Lovelace. I am related through David's son Robert. I can share what I have with you.
