The People of the State of New York

To Ruth Loper, Susan Budd, the wife of John Budd, Louisa Stuart, the wife of John M. Stuart, and Nancy Overton, the wife of James Overton, all residing in the town of Southampton in the County of Suffolk.

Whereas John Budd and John M. Stuart of Southampton has lately applied to our Surrogate of the County of Suffolk to have a certain instrument in writing bearing the date the 25th of December 1846 purporting to dispose of both real and personal estate duly proved as the Last Will and Testament of Jason Loper, late of Southampton dcd.

Therefore, you and each of you are cited and required, personally, to be and appear before our said Surrogate at the house of the said Mr. Budd in ____ on the 22nd day of September at 2 O'clock in the afternoon of that day, then and there to attend to the probate of the said Last Will and Testament.

To witness whereof, the Surrogate of our said County has hereunto affixed his seal of office the 11th day of September on thousand eight hundred and forty eight.
