We, Mary Halsey, wife of Jesse Halsey and daughter of Gilbert Budd late of the town of Southampton Deceased and Patience Budd, the widow of the said Gilbert Budd deceased both of the town of Southampton in Suffolk County hereby consent that immediate proof be taken of the proper dates November 4th 1850 purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of said Gilbert Budd as a will of both personal and real estate before the Surrogate of Suffolk County, hereby waiving the issuing and service of citations therefor. And I Jesse Halsey the husband of the said Mary hereby consent to the same. Dated Southampton February 11th 1851.

I Lydia H. Smith the wife of Charles Smith of Sag Harbor Suffolk County and heir and daughter of Gilbert Budd deceased hereby consent to the proof of the paper aforesaid purporting to be the Last Will and Testament of Gilbert Budd dcd.

Note: John Budd and Charles Smith also signed a similar paper but it is almost illegible - dated 1851.

Gilbert Budd's wife was Patience Edwards.
