BUDD, John, of Southold, Suffolk Co., who died 5 Nov. 1684 - inventory (25 March 1685) of property in Southold taken and appraised by Thomas Sturges, Joshua Horton, Jonathan Horton and Stephen Bayley. Inventory taken room by room, included a rapier and 2 belts (L4), 3 guns, 5 pistols, and a pair of holsters (L6), a Negro man, a Negro woman, and a child (L60). - Inventory (6 June 1685) of property in Rye, Westchester Co., taken by Francis Browne, Thomas Browne, and Thomas Marrit, at request of John Tuthill and Isaac Arnold, executors. Included were a Bible (6s) and a canoe (3s.8d.)

A 1685 will of a Samuel Glover identifies this man as Lieutentant John Budd, now deceased (1685) and mentions John Budd's daughters Mary Yongs and Ann Budd. John Budd's 1684 will identifies the same Mary Yongs and Ann Budd, and the executors are John Tuttle and Isaac Arnold.
