I'm confused and hope someone can clarify for me. I need a copy of my GGGgrandparent's death certs. Do I contact the Town of Islip clerk's office or do I have to go through NYS vitals? Looking at Islip's death cert request application, it says one must be spouse, parent or child. Dumb question, but does great (3x) grandchildren count? they died in 1904 so it qualifies under the 50 year time rule.
