my name is dennis slanker and i'm from germany.

i'm trying to find as much informations as possible regarding my unknown american part of the family.

my problem is that i do not know where to apply for vital records in suffolk county.

my grandmother, barbara darmstadt, was born in patchogue in 1938. i would love to apply for her birth-certificate. but where??

the same problem exists regarding the marriage-certificate of her parents, henry william darmstadt & barbara darmstadt kocarnik. i kknow where they married each other, i know when they married, but i do not know where to apply for this record! 8(

my third issue is to find the obituary of my great-grandmothers niece emily costanza kocarnik. she was born 1918 in patchogue and died 2002 also in patchogue. my hope is to find descendants of her for sharing family-informations.

the kocarnik-line of my family used to reside at river str 15 in patchogue, with the help of google maps i figured out that today only a river ave exists, could it be that the street had been renamed?? i also found out that there still a costanza-family resides at this place.

it would be so great if anyone of you guys would help me, of course i'm also offering my help if anyone needs help, specially in germany.
