The only clue, I think is Landes. Based on all of the documents, I am assuming that the last name was Landis. I saw a later census with Landes, and I thought it was an error because an obituary had Landis. BUT, I have found those to wrong too. :) I usually look for all spellings of a last name. Perhaps I need to do another look ..
