I am sorry I do not have either person on my FTM Covert file. My husband's line goes from his grandfather, Elmer Morris Covert,m. Myrtie Mathews. Elmer was the 13th child of ISAIAH & MARY JANE MORRIS. Elmer had 7 brothers;
1. George Allen Covert, b. 1865, m. Nora Roberts, and had 5 daus. They are both buried in Horseheads cem.;
2. William B.Covert, b. 1867, m. Evelyn Laity, b. 1887. He died 1927, buried Pasadena, CA. Had 2 daus.
3. Albert Seth Covert, b. 1870, m. Mary Ann Gernet, b. 1868. They had 3 ch; George, Leroy & Mable (Mable married brother to Elmer Morris Covert's wife; Elmer Mathews. Albert & Mary Ann are buried in Interlaken cem.
4. Robert D. Covert, b. 1872, m. Myrtle Palmer, of Wisconsin. He lived in Lead, SD, where he died 1935. Had one known son, Virgil, b. 1903.
5. Frederick Erwin Covert, b. 1876, d. 1955. He lived in Coram, MT, at time of his father's death in 1930. We have no further info on him.
6. Ira Owen Covert, b. 1878, d. 1896, typhoid fever.
7.Charles Ray Covert, b. 1880, m. Clara Feathers, b. 1882. They had 2 sons; John Belmont and Stanley "Spike" Covert. Charles Ray went to Calif., divorced Clara, & died 1964, buried Pasadena, CA.
As you can see there is no Ernest Covert, but could be as we do not have very good info on the brothers that went away "out west".
ISAIAH COVERT, had 2 brothers; John C. Covert and George Washington Covert. They all lived in the Schuyler Co./Steuben area. I have not traced any of their lines.
