HELP!
Looking for any and all info you may have on Hugh Thompson Born May 14 1765 (maybe in Ireland) came to America around 1780 to 1790 +- 10 years. Married Elizabeth Van Slyke, born Schenectady NY Apr.21 1774 +- 2years.Their first four children Janet 1794, Jemima 1796, William 1799, and Margaret 1802 had their Christenings in the Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Caughnawaga Fonda Montgomery Co New York Parents listed in church records as Hugh Thomson and Elizabeth Van Slyke. Their other 4 children John 1804, Jesse, 1807, Henry 1810 and Archibald 1813, are not on any christening records I can find, Hugh shows up on the 1810 census in the town of Russia in Herkimer County. I hope some one out there can shed some light on this family.
