I found Eva Priest's obit. It was in the paper on Thursday 06 December 1956 and says that she died on Friday. That would make her date of death as 30 November 1956.
Her obit is hard to read but it does say the following:
She was born in DeKalb the daughter of John and Emma Welch and that she married Mason Priest in 1913
She is survived by her husband, a son ???? in Jonesboro Indiana, a daughter Mrs. Fred J. ??????, 8 grandchildren and ?? great grandchildren (I think it says 2)
