Looking for birth, death, parental or sibling information on Bertha Shaeffer, also spelled Schaeffer. She was born about 1880 in New Jersey. She married Charles David Hobbs in 1900 in Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey but by 1920, they appear to be divorced or separated as he is now "married" to another woman. 1910 Census places her in Ramapo, Rockland County, New York. she died about 1927, location unknown.

She had three known sons:

Harold David Hobbs (1901-1962) married Marie (LNU)
Edgar Albert Hobbs Sr (1906-1971) married (1) Ruth Elma Troge (2) Pearl Valeria Hampshire
Elmer Charles Hobbs (1907-1979) married Betsy "Bessie" Edmond

Have been unable to locate her in 1920 or definitively in 1900. All three sons are residing with their father and step mother in New Jersey, based on the 1920 Census.
