I found the Carney/Kearney family in the 1860 & 1870 censuses.
In 1860 the "Kearney" family was living in Haverstraw;
Michael age 35 born in Ireland
Mary age 30 born in Ireland
Martin age 12 born in Pennsylvania
Margaret age 10 born in New York
Elisabeth age 8 born in New York
Mary age 6 born in New York
John age 5 born in New York
Michael age 1 born in New York.
They are in Haverstraw, page 150; dwelling # 1008 and family # 1008.
