DUTCHESS COUNTY GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY
Finding the Origins of Your European Ancestors is the topic of the November meeting of the Dutchess County Genealogical Society
There is no magic web site that has your ancestors’ place of origin on it. But you can learn strategies that, with any luck, may help you find the place of origin of your ancestors and find out more about an ancestor when you locate that place of origin. Learn about these research methods and how to apply them.
Our speaker, Christine Crawford-Oppenheimer, MLS, is a librarian, archivist, genealogical speaker, food researcher, and writer. She was reference librarian and archivist at The Culinary Institute of America for eleven years. Her publications include a book, Long-Distance Genealogy, and articles in national and regional genealogical magazines, including the National Genealogical Society Quarterly.
All are welcome.
