Classification: Cemetery
Surnames: Murphy, Quinn
I also have Murphy roots in 19th Century Cold Spring and Nelsonville. In 1850 Census Nicholas Murphy (my gggrandmother's brother) and his family are living in Cold Spring. In same census, My gggrandparents Philip Quinn and Mary Quinn (Nee Murphy) are living in Nelsonville with their three children. As it seems probable that Philip, Mary and/or Nicholas died in Cold Spring or Nelsonville, I am curious about where all of these Irish immigrants are buried. I've been to Cold Spring/Nelsonville many times searching through cemeteries and have not to date found a large # of old grave markers with Irish names on them.
