It has certainly been sometime since you posted your inquiry, but I am hoping that you can help me.

I am seeking the lineage of the Gilbert Drew (d 1812 Putnam co,NY) who married (1) Sarah Hunt in 1753 & (2)Catherine Muckleworth abt 1794-6.
Gilbert & Sarah had 10 children between 1755 - 1771

It appears that Gilbert & Catherine were the parents of that rascal and financier Daniel Drew (1797-1879) of New York City. His biography cites his father (not named) was a "humble" cattle farmer.

I am wondering if the above Gilbert was the apprenctice named in the 12/5/1741 Will of John Hedger Sr along with another apprenctice Thomas Cornwell/Cromwell?.
Hedger also names his wife Hannah{Gardiner/Gardner,sister of Benjamin) and 'kinsman' David Hunt as co-executors.
