I am searching for the parents or descendants of my 2nd great grandfather George Purdy who was from Putnam Co NY or maybe across the line in CT. He was born 31 Jan 1808 and died 11 Feb 1894 in Dearborn Twp, Wayne Co, Mich. He married 1st about 1828 Abigail Light. Children: Mary Ann, William H., George Alonzo, John, James W, Judson, Alexander Purdy. They came to Mich on the Canal boat around 1836. Abigail died 1847 Dbn Twp and George married Caroline S. Thompson Carney in 1848. They children were: Charles Henry., Bradley Hemmingway., Caroline Maria and George Purdy Jr. Looking for anyone who might have some new information on George's parentage.
