I am looking for New York evidence of a Philip Church born abt 1812 NY died 4 Feb 1881 Burford Twp, Brant Co Ontario married to Mary Johnson (she was from Blenheim Twp, Oxford Co, Ontario) and their son John H. Church born 25 Sep 1848 in Oswego NY died 12 Apr 1903 Chrlotte, Eaton Co, Michigan. John Church's obituary stated that he he was born in Oswego NY, he moved with parents to Canada as a boy. He moved to Charlotte, Michigan in 1869. He worked for the railroad.

His siblings were, Laura born abt 1827, Seth abt 1829 (married Harriett Harrison), Pamelia abt 1832 (married Lewis H. Estelle) Ransalar b.1832, Charles b 1834 (married Emily Harrison), Mary abt 1836, Alanson abt 1839 (married Agness Bailey), Norman abt 1842 (married Jane Clark), William H. abt 1846 and George Church abt 1857. Have been researching this family for quite awhile but have not been able to find evidence of them in Oswego NY.

If anyone is able to help me with this family I would be very pleased. Philip Church is such an unsually name in the Church family. There was a Philip Church very early in the Brant Co Ontario Land Records that was from NY. There also was a Philip Church in the Charlotte, Eaton Co, Michigan land records loaning money to people for land purchase from Canada.
