Need info for Decoliar Towle in Orleans Co between 1820 & 1832

Surnames: TOWLE
I have court document/lawsuit papers that states--

"-- Decoliar Towle was residing in the Town of Gains in the County of Orleans and State of New York--"

Is there any other info for the Towle family in NY between about 1800 and 1830. It is unconfirmed that he went to Canada after 1832.

Sincerely grateful

My gr great grandfather William Smith Housel was married to Lucy Jane Towle in 1836 (Yates Twp) and after two years of marriage she died. Family tradition says there was a baby who died also. Do you have any info on the parentage of Lucy Jane Towle who would have been born around 1816-1820?

http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~nyorlean/ (Free Orleans County stuff) has no "Towle" indexed as head of household for the 1830 census (there is a "William Degolyer" in Gaines) and no Towle in the cemeteries index. The opening of the Erie Canal in 1824 caused a growth spurt for the newly formed Orleans County. The Town of Gaines is centered on Route 104 (Ridge Road) north of the Canal at Albion. Good Luck
