Searching for my Helms family. They were residing in Ontario County New York by 1810. They lived in and around Seneca. At least half of this family migrated to Livingston and Gratiot county Michigan by the 1850's. Samuel H. Helms is a direct descendant of Peter Helm, a palitine immigrant who came to colonial New York in 1710. Would like to hear from anyone interested in this family.
