I am looking for information about my gg grandparents and ggg grandparents all of which were from ONTARIO COUNTY. My gg grandfather was John S. PINKERTON that married Francis L. GRAVES (daughter of William GRAVES and Louisa B.MYERS).I'm assuming that they divorced or that he died after they separated because she marrys Frank FISHER and he is on the 1880 census living in a different home in Geneva.Then I lose track of John S. Pinkerton.
I believe that John's parents were John A. PINKERTON and wife Eliza and that they were from Canadaigua, Ontario County, New York. John A. Pinkerton was killed in the Civil War on 8/16/1864 and was in the 16th H Art.Unit. I lost track of Eliza after the 1865 state census.
