I don't believe there is any connection between our Cole line and the line of John and Hannah Cole of Rehoboth.
There is another Dorrance name that I forgot to mention. John Cole of Windsor, Berkshire Co., MA sold some land to a Gordon Dorrance in 1796. I am wondering if the Sally Dorrance, age 70, who was living in the household of Ira W. Eaton in Jordan at the time of the 1860 Census, is somehow related to Gordon?
My 4th great grandfather, Philip Cole, of Williamstown, Berkshire Co., MA had a daughter, Olive, who was born in 1785 and married a Barnabus Eaton. Barnabus and Olive had a son named Datus Ensign Eaton, believed to have been born about 1808 in Springfield, Hampden Co., MA who in turn had a son, Ira Walker Eaton, born 1836. Ira married Martha Perkins and this couple may have later lived in Elbridge, Onondaga Co., NY.
