My name is Mary Devoy Zadorozny. In an article I found at the Onondaga Historical Society it says Dennis Devoy, my great, great grandfather, was visited June 3, 1861 by brothers John and Samuel Hurst. It goes on to say that 39 years to the day the 3 of them landed in Quebec from the ship Elizabeth and the Capt. was named Boswell. I have been looking for the ship and how they came to NY but have been unsuccessful. I believe my gg grandfather lived around Herkimer before he came to Syracuse. Have you been able to find the Hurst on any ship roster? I am still trying to identify where in Ireland, Dennis came from. Any info would be appreciated. Please respond.
