According to information about the actor John T. Kelly, he married Florence Moore Eques in 1915 but was divorced before his death in 1922. I don't know where they married for sure but John was an actor in Manhattan so possible he was married in New York.
Thanks for any help. John was born in Boston, and died in the Bronx. Lived in Queens in 1900. This would be his third marriage that I know of. First was Alice Davis, second was Amanda someone. Divorced Alice abt. 1883/4, was with Amanda on 1900 census and was married to her for 14 or 19 years, difficult to read but should be 14. Placing second marriage abt. 1886.

A few years ago I did a lookup of his death record because someone wanted his burial place. Here is the info I have from his death certificate: john T. Kelly, age 70 years, born in US, retired actor. Father= John Patrick Kelly, born in Ireland Mother= Nellie Galvin, born in Ireland. Died at Fordham Hospital January 16, 1922. cause of death= myocarditis and nephritis. Buried in Greenwoodd cemetery January 18th.
He is in section 138 lot number 24756.

You are so kind. Do you have any other info about John T. Kelly? I am told that Alice and John only had one daughter together, and the name on the 1880 census was Mary, age 2, born Canada but that may be a red herring (the Canada part) as they were living in Manhattan in 1880 and got married in 1874 in South Barrington, Mass. So seems unlikely that Mary would be born Canada. In the New York Times, it stated that at the time of his death, John T. was living with his daugher Anna in the Bronx. So either Mary changed to Anna or Anna is a stepdaughter or a half-sibling. I think I found John t. in Queens in 1900 married to Amanda (if it is the same John T. who was an actor in 1900 as well).

Hi again,
I have found the baptism of John T. Kelly's daughter Mary Ellen Kelly on Aug 16, 1877 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Mother of Mary Ellen was Alice Davis. There was an application for a partial divorce in 1883 in New York for John T. Kelly and Alice. I really don't know what became of Mary Ellen or Alice. The family had letters from a descendant Mae McDonnell living In Ireland in 1964. I am thinking maybe a daughter or granddaughter of Mary. I can't find Mary's marriage anywhere in New York. Mae McDonnell makes reference to an uncle Michael O'Leary. I haven't figured out the connection as yet. I have also searched hard for John Patrick Kelly and Nellie in Boston in 1852 when John t. Kelly was born but was unsuccessful. Where oh where was everyone?
John t. Kelly went on to marry Amanda Veldran about 1888 and possibly Frances Moore about 1915. Amanda died 1912.
