I have a puzzle for the experts out there. I am trying to tease apart the different family groups of highland scots who settled on Sir John Johnson's land in the Mohawk valley of New York in the early 1770s.

I have found a
John McAffe Cameron and
Angus Cameron listed together in Sir Johnson's rent rolls, and I have also found a

John McCaffrey and Angus Cameron have split lot 43, in the first concession north of Riviere Raisin, Charlottenburgh/ Lancaster in the eastern district land owners lists from Stormont county, Ontario.

I know a little of Angus' family, but am trying to find where he came from in Scotland.

Does anyone have any clues??
