I'm looking for information regarding Rufus Messenger who lived in Penfield, NY between 1805 and 1825. He died in Peoria County, IL in 1836. His wife was Elizabeth Ann Barnes, daughter of Timothy Barnes. He might have had another wife before he married Elizabeth. Two sons were Edwin Milo Messenger who died in MO and Chauncey Monroe Messenger who died in WA.
