I am looking for anyone who can help me trace my Dossenbach roots, please. This is all I think I know. Matthias Dossenbach immigrated from Baden (Germany) about 1851. He moved back and forth between Canada and New York with his wife Regula. His children were Frita, Otto, Balivina, Hermina, Adolf, Albert, Herman (my great grandfather) and Taeodor. Hermann and Theodore eventually moved to Rochester and were instumental in beginning the Rochester Orchestra. Herman married Daisy Chapman and they had 3 daughters, Elsa, Hazel,and Alma (my grandmother who died as a result of an accident when my mother was about 3).
