“A copy of the last will & testament of the real & personal estate of Abner Nash deceased Recorded Nov. 15 1837
In the name of God Amen. I Abner Nash of the town of Hamilton in the county of Madison and State of New York being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, do hereby make and my last will and testament in manner and form following
First I order and direct that my executor hereinafter named pay all my just debts and funeral charges as soon after death as conveniently may be. Secondly – I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Sarah Nash two cows, eight sheep and the house hold furniture that she brought with her or that belonged to her at the time of our marriage but such articles as she has added scince (sic) to the house hold furniture I give & bequeath unto her during her natural life and one half of my one horse Waggon and Harness. Thirdly. I give & bequeath unto my oldest son Horace Nash my two Horse Waggon & Harness, my two horse sleigh, my plough, my drag my Iron shovel all my chain and all my axes except one. Fourthly. I give and bequeath unto my second son Abner Dickenson Nash forty dollars. Fifthly. I give and bequeath unto my third son Marvin Nash forty dollars.
Sixthly. I give and bequeath unto my fourth son Morris Nash forty dollars. Seventhly, I give and bequeath unto my fifth son Moses Munson Nash forty dollars. Eighthly. I give and bequeath unto my second daughter Content Nash (married woman) forty dollars. Ninthly. I give and bequeath unto my third daughter Theodosia Crain (married woman) fifty dollars to be paid in three years after my decease in stock to be delivered on my premises in Hamilton.
Tenthly. I give and bequeath unto my youngest daughter Delia Yearington (married woman) fifty dollars to be paid in three years after my death in stock delivered on the farm, on which I now live in Hamilton.
Eleventhly, The remainder of my estate both personal & real I give and bequeath and direct unto my oldest son Horace Nash to have and to hold to him his Heirs & assigns forever provided he and His heirs executors or administrators take care of me untill my death pay my debts and legacies above mentioned , but in case he or they should not do it, I wish the debts and the legacies to be paid and the remainder equally divided among my sons. Twelfthly & lastly I hereby appoint my said wife Sarah Nash my executrix and my said son Horace Nash my executor of this my last will & testament.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the thirtieth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six. /s/ Abner Nash (L.S.)

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the testator to be his last will and testament in the presence of us who at his request and in his presence & in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto. On first page in line 22 (“Fives”?) was partly erased and 24th line (“Five”?) was also partly altered all before signing.
