Capt. Daniel Richards settled in Lima, NY about 1810 and died there in 1830. He is buried with his wife, Hannah, in the Baptist Cemetery, south of Lima. Capt. Richards was born about 1765, location unknown. Only know one daughter, Alvira and a possible daughter, Lavinia. Alvira died in 1844 in Mendon, Monroe Co., NY, the wife of Abrahm Moore, and mother of 6-7 children. Seeking info on children of Capt. Daniel Richards. Seeking info on his parents and where he was born. Also would like to know why he was called "Captain". There may be a Revolutionary War connection. Thank you.
