While searching for my wife's ancestors in Kansas I decided to purchase a book from the Phillips County, KS genealogical society. In the book there was a reference to a man named George Washington Meldrum who was born in Caledonia, NY in 1851. Also, it is mentioned that George and his brothers, Norman H. Meldrum and John W. Meldrum journeyed to Colorado after the Civil War and that in 1887 George settled in Phillipsburg, KS. George died in 1930 in Colorado Springs. The foregoing is a brief summary of what is in the book.
