I am seeking any information about Archibald Johnston, born in Scotland in the early 1800s, emigrated to Canada and then to Lewis County, NY, where he lived in 1848. His wife's name might have been Rebecca. His daughter, Ann B. Johnston, married Charles A. Reed, a wagonmaker, in 1848, and they lived in Black River, Jefferson County, NY, and died there. Ann was born in 1831 and died in 1916. I understand that there is information about Archibald in THE HISTORY OF LEWIS COUNTY. Is anyone willing to do a look-up for me? Thanks very much for your help!
