Funeral Services For Woman, 87, to Be Held Wednesday at 2 PM from Theresa Presbyterian Church.

Theresa, Dec 27.- The funeral services for Mrs Mary Hardy Farrell, 87, who died that the home of her daughter, Mrs Maude Smith late Sunday afternoon at Kelsey Bridge, will be held from the Presbyterian church in this village at 2 on Wednesday. Prayer service will be from the home at 1:15 Rev John Stoddard, minister of the Presbyterian church here, will officiate. Burial will be made in the family plot in Oakwood cemetery here.

Mrs Farrell was born near the Pink school house, LeRay, Dec 15, 1845, the daughter of Adolph and Jane Hardy. On July 4th, following the close of the Civil war, she was married to Patrick Farrell, a solider of the northern army. For a time they resided on one of the Douglas farms, but later purchased a farm in LeRay where they resided for 40 years until they retired to this village. Mr Farrell died 22 years ago.

She was a member of the Theresa grange, which she joined 33 years ago, and wore the silver star. She was also a member of the Howland Circle, ladies of the GAR, which organization will attend the funeral service in a body.

She is survived by three children, Mrs Cora Hawn and Edwin Farrell of Evans Mills and Mrs Maude Smith of this town. Two children have passed away, Clarence J in 1930 and Jennie A Schell in 1926. There are eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. One sister survives, Mrs TW Wallace of Utica, and a brother, Dempster Hardy of Kansas.
