Classification: Query
Surnames: tompkins,barber
Marias' son(John W.Tompkins,b.1865)is my great grand father. He married Dorthy Ward and they along with his half brother,Charles Barber moved to Colchester,Delaware County,New york.(Do a search using these names and places beginning with the 1900 census)
John and Dolly ran a diary farm at the end of Tub Mill in the Village of Downsville for many years. They had many offspring(in the late 1950's or early 1960's she had the county record for most grandchildren-over 40!!!).
Late in her life Maria moved to Colchester to live with her son Charles Barber and not too far from her other son,John W. Tompkins.(I believe her name was mistakingly copied as "Manny" Tompkins or Barber!).Hope I was of some help!(Sorry,I have no info on Emma).
If anbody Knows the father of Marias' second husband(John Wesley Tompkins b.abt 1799),that info would help me as i have hit a roadblock.Seems there were many Tompkins' in eastern Greene Co. in the early and mid 1800's.
