My ancestor, Mary Boyer was born c. 1825; Her obituary,
says that she died on her 50th birthday, placing her birth on 3 March 1825. This may well be inaccurate, but serves as a general guide; or it may be correct.
She married Andrew Lambert (from Scotland, NOT a French Canadian) c. 1845. Their first two children were baptized at St. Joseph Corbeau, Coopersville, Clinton county, NY.:
Margaret on 7 July 1846, sponsors, Adolphe Morin and Marie Trembly. And 2nd, son John McKenzie/McKinsey (middle name) Lambert baptized 12 March 1848, sponsors Pierre Roberge and Marie Trembly. Mother's maiden name given as Maheur, Maher or or Maheux; spellings from different transcriptions; have not seen a copy of the original.
The next three children were baptized at St. Romain at Hemmingford/Sherrington between 1850-1854. The next four children were baptized at Ste. Anne de Centreville, Mooers Forks, Clinton County.
The only place that Mary's maiden name is given other than Boyer is at John's 1848 when Maher, Maher, Maheux is given.
Could this be a "dit name" for Boyer or visa versa?
The family moved to Glencoe, Minnesota in 1872.
I have been searching for Mary and Andrew's marriage record for over 40 years. They may have been married in Clinton or Franklin counties, c. 1845. I know at one time
missionary records were missing for this time period. Yet their marriage may have occurred at an established church or by missionary. Or they may have been married in Q.P.
No documentation, but one family member was under the impression that Mary was born in or near Montreal, but she may well have been born in any of locations between Montreal and FRanklin and Clinton Counties, NY.
Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. This has been so frustrating; somebody must know something about her place of origin and parents.
Thanks in advance for any help.

P.S. Could the sponsors at Margaret and John's baptisms be a clue of any sort?
