Researching for info on the Family of James Dougherty, born 1790 in Donegal, Ireland. Wife named Murty or Mary ??, born 1790 also from Donegal, Irland. (Does anyone know what her maiden name was???) Family may have moved to Northern, NY b/w 1830 - 1840. Find 3 children born to this couple:

James Dougherty, Jr. born 4-4-1819 in Donegal, Ireland; married Sarah Smith 1843 in Westville, Fr. Cty, N.Y.; Died 12-24-1876 in Fort Dodge, Webster, Iowa; 2nd child Patrick Dougherty, born 1823 in Dongegal, Ireland--no marriage or date of death listed--believed to have settled in or around, Constable, Burke or Belmont, NY; 3rd child Elizabeth Dougherty, born 1832 in NY??, no marriage or date of death---again believed to have married a John White & lived in Constable or Trout River, NY areas. Appreciate any information on this family. I have a Patrick Dougherty as a great Uncle listed as being married to a Mary Jane Gardner, they lived on large Farm on the French Settlement Road in Belmont, NY.--trying to determine if James & Murty/ Mary Douherty from Donegal, Ireland were the parents of my great Uncle Patrick Dougherty from Belmont????.
