I am researching a Willard Holt/Minerva Nichols family. I have found there was a Willard Holt that was born in Landgrove, Bennington Co., VT and his parents, Joseph Holt, III and Tryphena Perry died a month apart in 1810. Joseph's brother, John Dale Holt adopted Willard. Tryphena (Perry) Holt's parents moved to Essex Co., NY. Her father, Abijah Perry died in Elizabethtown 8-6-1819. I have not been able to find a marriage for Willard in VT, so thought perhaps he was in Essex Co, NY where he could have still had relatives and married there. I'm looking for a marriage to a Minerva Nichols. I see there were many Nichols in Essex Co. Minerva was born abt. 1809. I believe Willard and Minerva married abt. 1830. Hoping someone might have info on Minerva's parantage and perhaps know where I can find a marriage record during that time period.
